A really original film from 2017 year. If the watcher does not like Drama type of movies, he will watch the whole movie and have great fun. The storyline is carefully and smartly written, the characters development is very good written too. It is a sensational, tense movie from start to finish. Director once again delivered us great piece of art. You just dive into the world made by the actors and Rezo Gigineishvili. You know what? Hostages has changed my life. I mean my career. What happens in Hostages
The film describes the real events that took place in 1983 when seven young Georgians, all families of elite intellectuals, tried to flee the Soviet Union by hijacking a passenger plane. The crisis ended when the plane was attacked by Soviet special forces, killing eight people. The other kidnappers were then tried and executed.
