I am a huge fan of Fred Zinnemann and this movie was his finest work last time. High Noon is one of those films where no sigle character gives a weak play. High Noon will be forever living movie. No matter how many years passed and no matter how many times you saw it. In conclusion High Noon is just absolutely awesome, that's why it is considered one of the 5 greatest movies of all time. What happens in High Noon

On the day he gets married and hangs up his badge, Marshal Will Kane is told that a man he sent to prison years before, Frank Miller, is returning on the noon train to exact his revenge. Having initially decided to leave with his new spouse, Will decides he must go back and face Miller.
