What happens in III
The small European city where the Ayia and Mirra sisters live is affected by an unknown disease that many people suffer from. After her mother's death, her younger sister falls ill. When Ayia realizes that conventional medicine is useless given her sister's illness, she asks Herman's father, a priest, and a close friend of the family, for help. In his house he finds books that are very far from conventional religion. She learns that only if she penetrates Mirra's sick subconscious and discovers the true cause of her illness will she have a chance to save her sister.
