El Topo - one of the best known movies made in Mexico. If the watcher does not like Drama type of movies, he will watch the whole movie and have great fun. I still remember the first time I watched El Topo. There is no character in this movie that does not fit in. The directing by Alejandro Jodorowsky is always superb. Skills of actors are just impressive, especially Alfonso Arau. Not many "excellent" movies that have ever been released. El Topo is stunning and only a retard wouldn't watch it at least once in his life. It's definitely worth to see.... Show more

What happens in El Topo

El Topo decides to confront the Masters' warriors on a transformative desert journey he begins with his 6-year-old son, who has to bury childhood totems to become a man. El Topo (Mole) claims to be God, dressed like a black shooter, on a spiritual, mystical landscape full of old western films and old eastern religious symbols. The bandits murdered the village on their way, so El Topo avenges the massacre and then violently takes his leader Mara's wife for himself.
