The American Friend isn't just a beautifully crafted Crime movie, it's seriously something more. It would be hard to find a movie made this good. The storyline is carefully and smartly written, the characters development is very good written too. The American Friend has it all, brilliant acting, nice performance and well written plot. Director once again delivered us great piece of art. I liked the characters, all of them, even the antagonists were unforgettable, especially Dennis Hopper. Rly, this is the first film I saw that made me feel I saw something better than just a movie. The American Friend is stunning and only a retard wouldn't watch it at least once in his life. Tom Ripley has a sweet deal with art forger. Counterfeiters creates images; Tom sold. But another criminal associates of Tom wants to go even more daring: murder.
