A really original film from 1942 year. The Talk of the Town is without doubt the best Comedy movie, a new standard. One word, cool!. The Talk of the Town has one of the highest rates in IMDB top 250. Director made a lot of good work with brilliant writing and amazing cinematography. Artistry of actors are just magnificent, no actor gave us a weak performance. I loved The Talk of the Town from the first sight. There really isn't too much else to say. The Talk of the Town is a living masterpiece. This movie is an art, at it's very best form.... Show more
What happens in The Talk of the Town
In a suburb of Lochester, New England, three people together teachers end of high school home Nora Shelley live. The first of these is the new tenant, known Harvard law professor Michael Lightcap who rented a house for the summer, while writing his new book. The second Nora itself. Despite the successful first meeting, hires Nora Lightcap his live-in cook and a secretary for a week to be, to be servants Tilney comes. The third is Joseph, among others, the gardener, who is currently produced with a sprained ankle. In fact, Joseph is a childhood friend Nora Leopold Dilg, who had just escaped from prison.
